Makimono is a multilingual Japanese dictionary. It contains over 200'000 translations for English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. Once installed, the application does not require any Internet access and works off-line. Thus it can easily be used when traveling abroad or if the cellular connection is unavailable in the air-plane or train.

Makimono relies on translations from the EDICT, Wadoku, Hispadic and KANJIDIC projects. Furthermore, it includes kanji stroke order diagrams from KanjiVG.
